Permanent Veterinary Radiographer - Northumberland

Type: Small Animal Practice

Location: Northumberland

Practice: They are a large, small animal referral centre offering referrals in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, cardiology, ECC, and oncology. Their practice is ideally situated, within easy reach of the stunning Northumberland coastline and the cultural delights of Newcastle upon Tyne

Facilities: They offer great facilities at their state-of-the-art purpose-built hospital including a 1.5 Tesla MRI and Canon 160 Slice CT, Esaote MyLabX8 and Phillips IE33 ultrasound, ECG, fluoroscopy, flexible and rigid endoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory. 

Team: You will be working alongside an experienced referral team, offering services in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, and cardiology. 

Role: They have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Radiographer to join the referral team in their busy veterinary hospital

Duties: The candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality clinical diagnostic images of small animals using MRI and CT.

Hours:

  • A full-time role would be Monday to Friday 8-hour days.
  • Part-time hours will also be considered.
  • There is no weekend or out-of-hours work.
  • They will support your interests through their generous CPD allowance and ensure you are refreshed with ample holidays and look after you with their wellbeing program.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Applicants should be qualified Diagnostic Radiographers holding either a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or other relevant degrees/qualification and ideally have experience.
  • You will be required to run the MRI and CT scanners, but the MRI is the priority.
  • You will need to oversee the servicing and daily quality controls of the scanners.

Salary/Pay Rate: An excellent salary that is reflective of experience, skills, and level of certification
