We are working with a well-established small animal veterinary practice in Hockley, Essex that is looking to recruit a permanent full-time Veterinary Surgeon. This position requires a general practitioner with at least three years’ experience and an interest in medicine.

The Practice:

This practice is equipped with all of the staple facilities including ultrasound, digital x-ray, ECG, endoscopy, in-house lab, dentistry, and orthopaedic theatre where the branch partner performs extensive orthopaedic procedures. The successful candidate will be joining a great team, made up of two vets (including you!) and five nurses. The caseload is 50/50 cats and dogs, and a small number of small furries. You will also have access to our 24-hour hospital for thorough work-ups of cases with access to CT imaging and out-of-hours care. They have great transport links to London and is only 10 minutes away from Southend airport.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week which will include a week share of the weekend rota. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 year's post-graduate experience and be confident in their recommendations. You will have excellent communication skills with great client care skills. You will work well as part of a team and be a friendly approachable person.
