We are working with a client who is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them at their recently opened and growing practice. This is a full-time permanent position.
Our client is seeking a pioneering small animal vet who has the vision and the dynamism to create an environment of success. Full training will be provided by one of their successful practices and support will always be within your reach. This practice is run and managed by you and an accomplished nurse. There will also be a client care advisor as the first point of contact with patients and their owners.
The Role and Candidate:
Growing and maintaining your client base will be a key element of your responsibilities. While being run as an independent practice, you will have autonomy for your cases plus also the full support of local hospital facilities and expert knowledge from first opinion day and night teams and referral services. With proven experience in small animal care, you will have a good working knowledge of core clinical procedures and will provide excellent client care.
Ideally, you will have some small animal experience, great customer service skills, excellent core veterinary skills, the ability to prioritise and delegate, and commitment for continuous development. It would be good to have the ambition to grow your own practice and build your own base, have a relevant veterinary certificate or business-related post-graduate qualification, and local working knowledge of competitor practices.
There will be some sole charge work at this practice, so you will need to be confident in making decisions. Full-time hours Monday to Friday with 1:2 Saturday Mornings. No out of hours. Our client could consider an alternative work pattern for the right candidate.
A competitive salary and benefits package will be available, dependent on experience.
