We have an exciting opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly small animal veterinary practice in the Barry area of Glamorgan. This is permanent that can be either full or part-time.

The Practice:

The practice partner has a wealth of experience spanning over 31 years and the supportive team consists of another 3 Vets, 2.5 RVNS, and a strong team of 6 Receptionists.

The practice has the usual tools like digital X-rays, doppler blood pressure monitor, full in-house lab, & ultrasound scanner and enjoys a very varied caseload caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and all sorts of small furries. A small number of birds, reptiles, and fish are also seen by the practice but experience with these is not a necessity.

They are situated in the area of Barry, South Wales, close to the vibrant capital of Wales, Cardiff, and with the amazing beaches of Barry Island nearby. The Brecon Beacon National Park with its beautiful mountains, valleys, and waterfalls are also in easy reach. The surgery is positioned within a Retail Park at the waterfront in Barry overlooking Barry Island, with excellent parking, good connections for bus and train travel, and a variety of shops.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent role with the flexibility to be either full or part-time to suit the candidate and practice. The surgery is open 7 days a week, but you would only be expected to work 1 in 3 weekends. . You should be able to work independently and be confident in sole charge.

The Package:

The package contains a great salary for the right person, support with relocating if required, a pension scheme, generous CPD allowance (financially and time-wise), your birthday off in addition to 5 weeks or more of annual leave, and no OOH work
