We are working with a fast-paced friendly small animal veterinary practice in Milton Keynes that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. They are looking for a minimum three-year qualified, highly motivated, confident practitioner to join their experienced and close-knit team.
Our client has two practices approx. 8 miles apart and to support their client and patients they have appointments available throughout the day to enable them to receive prompt care. They aim to provide continuity of care with the veterinary surgeon or nurse of the client's choice where possible.
The main surgery is equipped with full facilities for routine cases, major surgery, and hospitalisation. They have a range of diagnostic, laboratory, and surgical equipment as well as in-patient facilities, which enable them to investigate and treat ailments fully with referral to specialists when appropriate.
It is equipped for consultations and routine day-case operations (neutering, spaying, dental treatment, minor surgery). It is also the site for their grooming service.

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 4 1/2 days per week 08:30-18:00 with 1 in 4 weekends consults at branch surgery 2hrs (am) and 1 ½ hrs (pm) at branch surgery Sat and Sunday. Remainder “on-call”. Nurse on call throughout. You will get an extra 1/2 day off after a weekend on-call, generally the Friday to make it a long weekend.
There is also 1 night a week on-call (they generally do the same night each week on call and have the same ½ day to create a routine Mon-Thurs).
