We are currently working with a small animal veterinary practice based in a market town, set in the beautiful Welsh countryside 45 minutes from both Cardiff and Bristol. Our client is looking to recruit a permanent small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team.  

The Practice:

This is a busy RCVS accredited 4 site practice where their team of 13 vets plus nursing and support staff handle a varied caseload. Their team includes certificate holders in surgery and medicine meaning they can provide fantastic case support when required. 24 hour nursing at their main site enables them to provide excellent clinical care to their patients. The role will be based at their main site though some branch work will be required to help cover a colleague’s absence. Operations and advanced diagnostics are carried out at their main site using state of the art facilities that would be recognised by most human hospitals. Digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and on-site laboratory allow most procedures to be carried out in a single visit with same-day results. They strongly believe in and are enthused by mentoring and clinically coaching their colleagues.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent post working 4 days per week 8.45 to last appointment 18.45. Monday to Friday overnight on-call rota for in-patients only, with an RVN on-site. All OOH emergencies covered by an external provider. Weekend rota TBC.

This position would suit a confident small animal veterinary surgeon with good communication skills and one year plus experience preferred.
