We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a warm and friendly team in Guernsey, Channel Islands, on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

This is a unique opportunity to be able to work on the Island of Guernsey, Channel Islands, that enables the very best in work-life balance. Our client is a very successful small animal surgery with certificate holders in most fields. The hospital is modern and extremely well equipped, including 16 slice CT, visiting MRI, ultrasound, digital X-ray, full idexx suite of in-house labs, separate dental with dental x-ray, isolation ward, dog and cat wards, 2 theatres, and minimal invasive surgery including arthroscopy/laprascopy/thorascopy plus separate wellness center with laser and hydrotherapy. The team is made up of 25 colleagues including 7 full and part-time vets. Island life is definitely slower than the mainland and much more relaxed. Great sandy beaches, beautiful cliff walks, and stunning sister islands of Jersey, Sark, Herm, and Alderney are easily reached. There are also great connections to the UK mainland and Normandy, France. All in all, this is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join the team and further develop their career and clinical experience.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time role working 42 hours per week with a weekend rota. Our client is looking for a vet who is highly skilled and is either a surgery certificate holder, an RCVS recognized advanced practitioner or working towards a surgical certificate. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. The Practice Partner supports colleagues to continue their further education and career through paid CPD/certificate and possible partnership potential in the future.

The Package:

Great work/life balance, clinical freedom, purpose-built practice with a lovely working environment, development of individual interest, 30 days holiday, fully funded CPD including RCVS membership and relocation package.
