Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Colchester

We are working with an independent, friendly, small animal practice based in Colchester, Essex that is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

This practice strives to offer the highest quality medical, surgical, and nursing care for their clients and their companion animals. Their dedicated veterinary team of 5 vets, 5 nurses, 5 support staff teams.  The clinic has undergone considerable refurbishment and now proudly has a new designated cat and dog kennels, separate cat consulting periods, and a cat advocate team that provides award-winning silver status for their feline patients. A wide range of modern diagnostic facilities enables the team to provide a thorough workup of cases and treatments at a local level while identifying patients that need to be referred to specialist hospital centres. Their diagnostic services include: - radiography, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, Pulse oximetry, and blood pressure monitoring & ECGs The practice also has a designated emergency service for out-of-hours emergencies.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent role working over 4 days a week (8.30 am – 6.30 pm) + 1 in 5 Saturdays (8.30 am – 2.00 pm). There are no out-of-hours requirements required for this role.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon, with at least 2 years of experience. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate essential basic surgery skills, together with excellent communication skills. The post would suit a confident, forward-thinking, IT-literate individual who has the ability to work well within a team.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of between £48,000 - £55,000 p/a (DOE) plus benefits that include:
