We are working with a group of practices that are looking for an experienced small animal veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This role is to join their practices in the Rye area of Kent.

The Practice:

Our client knows that pets are important family members and they take pride in forming lasting relationships with them and their owners, within the community. Their friendly vets, nurses, and support team are dedicated to pet’s well-being and look forward to meeting them.

They understand the value of preventative healthcare for pets and offer a healthcare plan as an easy way to budget and save money for all pet’s preventative healthcare needs throughout their life.

If a pet becomes unwell or is injured out of hours, an emergency service based at their Veterinary Hospital and provided by Vets Now is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide the best medical and surgical treatments available to help them on the road to recovery.

Their facilities include all the usual equipment including Doppler ultrasound, digital x-ray including dental x-ray, monitoring equipment, and in-house lab

The Role and Candidate

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly colleague who is committed to providing a high level of veterinary care that has excellent communication skills and is experienced enough to excel in a sole charge role when required.

This is a permanent full-time role where you will be working 4 days a week with a share of weekends, only 1 in 4 Saturdays. With no out of hour requirements, this role supports a good work/life balance. Your duties will include surgeries and consults which are shared on a rota basis.

There will also be the opportunity to work in the groups' hospital practice.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:

  • A generous holiday allowance of up to 5 weeks (pro-rata) plus a day for your birthday
  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Professional membership fees paid (RCVS, VDS, BVA) and discount for your own animals
  • Generous CPD allowance encouraged to certificate level
