We are working on behalf of our client who is looking to recruit a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join its busy practice based in Blackpool. The practice will consider full time or part time.

The Practice:

Our client has a friendly and motivated team of 6 vets in a dynamic, modern, purpose-built, and well equipped Pet Hospital with an excellent and varied caseload beyond any you are likely to see in first-opinion private practice. They are dedicated to continuous professional development with a proven history of supporting the completion of Advanced Practitioner certificates. They are passionate about promoting a healthy life for all pets by preventing disease, educating owners, and treating sick and injured animals.

Their hospital has 6 consulting rooms; 2 dedicated theatres; large prep area; separate dog and cat kennelling; separate imaging suite with digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy; piped gases; extensive orthopaedic equipment and a supportive team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants. All their staff has the opportunity to work to their full potential; Registered Veterinary Nurses routinely perform consultations and Schedule 3 surgeries within their capabilities. 

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is are now seeking a Veterinary Surgeon (VS) to join them in a role that is responsible for the delivery of an efficient, professional, and caring service to PDSA clients, providing a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst also promoting pet wellbeing and delivering preventive services.

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working 37.5 hours per week which will include 1 in 5 Saturday mornings - 9 am-12 pm (with time off in lieu the following week). No OOH. 

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a very competitive package worth between £33,281 - £43,421 p/a (including allowances) per annum that includes:
