We are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic practice in Cornwall who is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis. The practice can be extremely flexible with the role on offer, it can be full-time, part-time of nights only.
The practice has several surgeries across Cornwall, including their flagship central hospital which is equipped to the highest standards and staffed with exceptional professionals in all fields. The hospital is both a state-of-the-art medical facility and a pleasant, welcoming place to work. The practice has 20 vets across the small animal, equine and farm departments, including 3 certificate holders, and 2 working towards certificates. They have all the diagnostic and operating facilities you would expect, including a CT scanner, orthopaedic referrals department
As previously stated, the role can be flexible depending on what the candidate requires. A full-time position would require the vet to work approximately 40 hours per week, daily hours are 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. There is an out of hours rota of 1 in 24, working Saturday surgery from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Days consist of either sole operations, consults or a mixture of both, decided by a rota. There may be some branch work required but the vet will be predominantly based at the hospital. No sole charge required unless the vet is capable and comfortable with this.
In return, the practice can offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, £1,000 CPD funding and 5 days allowance, certificate support, home telephone and broadband paid for, business mobile phone, AA cover, RCVS + VDS fees plus 1 further professional membership.
