An exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic veterinary hospital in Brighton, East Sussex.

 

The Practice:

Our client is an independent hospital with an excellent reputation with some of the most modern equipment available including CT, advanced ultrasound, laparoscopy and intensive care facilities. This Brighton hospital is officially recognised RCVS Hospital Standard and Emergency Provider, the highest level of accreditation available.

The team at this hospital pride themselves on giving outstanding care to clients and their pets. The staff are sympathetic, dedicated, highly trained and very supportive of each other. They provide tailored individual care not generic treatment, and combine a traditional veterinary practice pedigree within modern veterinary medicine, in sickness and in health. Allowing more time for consults than many practices to ensure that you can give the proper level of care to animals ­ the care you would want for your pet!

 

 

The Role:

In this role, the vet will receive mentoring support from both Director and Head of First Opinion to help support them and succeed in the role. Our client is in the process of buying a new site and the holder of the position would be involved in that process and have a certain amount of autonomy and control to make decisions. There would also be an RVN on site to support for support as well as a Nursing Assistant and a reception team. The new site will be 2/3 vet practice in the future. 

 

The role is full-time working 40 hours per week, 4 days per week and will include a weekend rota of 1:3. This is a permanent position and our client are flexible about how the rota works, whether worked wholly at this new site and the main branch in Brighton. 

 

The Candidate:

Medical and surgical support for complex cases can be provided by the hospital in Brighton.

You will need a minimum of two years' post qualification.

Management skills, excellent communicator, personable, compassionate, commercial mindset with ambition, passion and drive to drive this branch forwards. 

They will support continuous professional development (£1500 per annum), our client is keen to support their vets and should you wish to study for any additional certificates.

 

In return, our client is offering a salary of between £50,000 and £55,000 for the right candidate.
