We are working with a well established practice based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham that is looking for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent full-time basis.
The Practice:
This is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary care facility that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. They provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalisation ward, and kennels. You will be joining a team of 18 vets, 13 RVN’s, 5 SVN’s and 4 Auxiliary Nurses based over three branches.
The Role:
This is a full-time permanent position for a Veterinary Surgeon. The hours are spread across 4 working days (40 hours). There is an equally shared on call rota and 1 in 6 full weekends with two days off during the week. Accommodation can be provided in a flat above the practice.
Candidate:
The successful applicant will have at least 2+ years experience, have great people skills, a good general surgical and medical background, will work well in a team and be confident with sole charge. You must also have good communication skills and enjoy building relationships with clients, the patients and the practice team.
