We are currently working with a well-established, busy, progressive small animal practice based in North East Worcestershire. Our client is looking to recruit a hardworking, professional Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a part-time permanent basis.
Established in the 1960s, they gradually expanded to its present complement of four full-time vets and two part-time vets. Our clients' ethos is to provide high quality, supportive and compassionate care for their clients and their pets. Their workload consists of primarily cats, dogs, and rabbits but also a wide variety of exotic mammals, birds and reptiles. They have a range of specialist equipment including a comprehensive in-house laboratory, digital Xray, Ultrasound, Flexible and rigid endoscopes, dentistry, infusion pumps, ECG and blood pressure monitor. They encourage their vets to work up cases to a high standard and allow clinical freedom and case discussions are encouraged and regularly entered into.
The role is part-time on a rota basis, the practice is flexible with working hours and this can be discussed. Opening hours of the practice are Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 7.30 pm, Saturday 8.30 am - 1 pm, 5 pm - 6 pm and Sunday 9.30 am - 10.30 am. There is no out of hours and weekends will be Saturday mornings.
The practice encourages their vets to work up cases to a high standard and allow clinical freedom and case discussions are encouraged and regularly entered into.
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, cheerful and compassionate. An interest in exotics is desirable but not essential.
In return, the practice is offering a negotiable salary (dependent on experience). Excellent clinical and surgical support, as well as regular cups of tea, cakes and biscuits, are provided.
