We are working with a client based near the Peak District, Derbyshire that is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent full-time basis
The Practice:
Our client is an RCVS accredited busy small animal practice that has a friendly team. This independently-run practice provides only the highest standard care and their team takes great pride in treating every animal as if it is their own. You will be joining a friendly team of Vets and Nurses that are supported by a fantastic team of reception and administration staff. They all work well as a team and have a friendly and supportive environment. They are based in a modern practice with state of the art facilities including two operating theatres, fully equipped with modern anaesthetic equipment and monitoring facilities. They have separate dog, cat and isolation wards to reduce stress and any risk of infection. All are safe, comfortable and warm, with x-ray facilities for instant results, ECG heart monitoring equipment with a computerized link to a cardiology specialist, extensive laboratory with a full range of equipment for same day results, Ultrasound and endoscopes available for non-invasive internal investigations. Their team of nurses run regular clinics covering a broad range of topics such as dental hygiene, nutrition, weight management and senior health. Every month they hold a “puppy party” for recently registered puppies and offer free kitten clinics.
The Role:
The role is Full time 4 days per week working 1 x 9.00 am - 7.00 pm, 2 x 9.00 am- 6.00 pm and 1 x 9.00 am – 4.00 pm. 1 in 4 Out of hours rota and 1 in 4 weekends. Weekends would involve Saturday morning 9.00 am – 1.00 pm and then on call with the practice mobile for the rest of the weekend.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, with a sense of humour and compassionate. An interest in Exotics is desirable but not essential. You will be working with a hardworking, supportive team in a busy modern practice.
In return, the practice are offering a Negotiable salary Dependent on experience.
