We are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent veterinary practice based in West Sussex. They are looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
Our client is a 100% small animal community practice with an earthy feel, some progressive elements and a loyal client base. It has been caring for dogs, cats and other domestic pets for over 40 years. They are based in West Sussex and have three surgeries in the area. Veterinary care is provided by a dedicated team of 6 vets, supported by 8 nurses and an animal care assistant, receptionists and office staff. Out of hour’s emergency cover is provided by their own vets, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. From routine health checks to complex orthopaedic procedures, health care advice to export certification, our client has the facilities including X-rays, ultrasound, laparoscopy, plus the experience and expertise to provide for all their clients’ pets’ needs.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be based at one of their newly refurbished busy branches and will be working on a permanent basis Monday to Friday 9.00 - 18.30 with one varying day off each week. 1:5 weekends with limited on call which includes Friday up to 21.00, Saturday 9.00 - 17.00. The post includes 10-minute consults and some sole charge mainly at the weekend.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will more than likely have a medical bias and a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience and be confident with routine procedures and some sole charge. The successful applicant will be able to pitch in with the rest of the team and have excellent customer care skills.
