Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Aldershot

Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon

Start Date: February March 2022

Location: Aldershot area of Surrey - Surrey-Hampshire border, excellent rail link to London (45mins), a wealth of open space nearby, great road connections. Easy access to the larger towns Guildford & Reading

Practice: Independent two-site small animal practice. They are very well established in the local area and still growing. There is scope to develop and expand. A fantastic team has enabled them to thrive despite the pandemic.

Team: 5 vet teams over the two sites, with rotas so no one is 100% sole charge. An excellent support team with RVN's at both branches, very experienced nursing, and ANA staff, and experienced receptionists.

Facilities: Both sites have X-ray, ultrasound, lab & endoscopy, peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons, little is referred, they like to work up their own cases as much as possible. Merlin PMS, simple health plan. Hugely supportive vet and nurse team, cases discussed, SPD knowledge shared, everyone wants to be their best. Supported by a brand new hospital 10 minutes away with CT, hydrotherapy, and 24/7 out-of-hours care.

Hours: Full-time - 4 days a week, with the last consult at 5.45 pm.

Weekends/OOHS: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only, no OOH, no bank holidays.

Branch Work: 2 days at each branch or more days at one considered.

Salary: The starting salary is between £38,000 - £45,000 p/a + negotiable and DOE.
