Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Barnet, North London

We are working with a client in Barnet, North London that has a very exciting opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their lovely clinic. They are seeking a strong all-rounder with at least 2-5 years experience, an interest in Surgery would be a bonus.

The Practice:

Our client's mission is to deliver progressive, around-the-clock care which means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

With a high volume of bonded clients, the practice has a very busy caseload. Facilities include separate dog and cat wards, theatre, digital x-ray, dental machine, and front-of-the-house pet boutique. It also benefits from 24-hour support and OOH care from our award-winning 24-Hour hospital with access to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic facilities, plus much more!

The Role and Candidate

This is a permanent part-time role where you will be working 30 per week across 3-days with 1:3 half weekends - it also has the potential to increase to full-time if desired. They are seeking a strong all-rounder with at least 2-5 years experience, an interest in Surgery would be a bonus.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator and a great team player. You will have enthusiasm for offering a great service to your clients, building on the clinic's local reputation, and playing a crucial part within the team to add to their continued success!

Skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in all neutering and preferably all soft tissue surgery, handling all basic medical cases
  • Excellent client communication and strong consultation skills
  • Great teamwork skills
  • Interest in completing or completion of a certificate preferred, but not essential

The Remuneration Package:

In return, they are offering a competitive remuneration package between £44,500 - £51,000 per annum (pro-rata) depending on experience including housing allowance, vehicle or allowance, £1,157 CPD allowance with CPD leave, RCVS, VDS, and BVA membership fees.
