- They are an equine and small animal practice in South Yorkshire with good access to motorways and the Peak District.
- The small animal team includes 2 full-time veterinary surgeons, 2 mixed small animal, and equine veterinary surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses including a Head Nurse and a student veterinary nurse as the practice is a training centre, 3 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager.
- The small animal clinic is well equipped with digital radiography, colour doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, dentistry facilities, and an in-house laboratory. They also have a small animal branch surgery in the village of Skelmanthorpe which is a 25-minute drive from Barnsley. They have an exceptional client care policy, friendly staff, and veterinary support.
Role: They are currently looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their client’s friendly team in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Hours: This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, but they can be flexible for a part-time role. They are keen to ensure that the working hours and benefits match your needs as much as possible and this could be full or part-time as required. There would be some weekend work but no out-of-hours.
Skills/Exp:
- The role would suit an organised, self-motivated progressive team player with ideally a minimum of 2 years of practice experience.
- The remit of the small animal department is general first opinion small animal practice working up cases to a high level in orthopaedic, soft tissue and dental surgery and internal medicine investigations and treatment plans.
- They are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, organised, and self-motivated team player with practice experience.
Salary: The salary will be up to £80,000 p/a depending on experience.
