Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bedfordshire

Our client looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to further expand their team of dedicated vets and help increase the services they offer to clients.

Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon

Type: Small Animal

Location: Bedfordshire, Potton Sandy

Practice: Part of a group

Team: Experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons (including some certificate holders) and an excellent team of Registered Veterinary Nurses / Student Nurses and support staff

Facilities:  A forward-thinking, purpose-built veterinary surgery set in rural Bedfordshire. They are a busy practice, with a very loyal client base. They have a wide range of equipment, including an in-house lab, digital x-ray, a new ultrasound machine, and two theatres. 

Hours: This role will involve 4 days per week (08.30-18.30 and 09.00-19.00 shift pattern) with no OOH. You will be expected to take part in a 1:4 Saturday morning 8.30-13.00. Part-time applications will also be considered. 

Sole Charge: No

Branch Work: No

Applicant Requirements: You must have good communication skills and provide excellent patient and client care. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody looking for a long-term commitment in a perfect location.

  • As one of their 3 Veterinary Surgeons, you will be expected to have comprehensive experience of routine procedures and good knowledge of more complex standard procedures e.g enterotomy.
  • An interest in developing an orthopaedic service would be encouraged, but not essential.
  • They are looking for a confident vet who is happy to support and mentor others and is committed to upholding their high standards of patient and client care.

Salary: They are offering a salary of £35,000 - £55,000 p/a DOE
