Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bromsgrove

Our client looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to further expand their team of dedicated vets and help increase the services they offer to clients.

Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon

Type: Small Animal

Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire

Practice: Small Animal

Team: The experienced team is made up of 12 vets and 22 nurses (across the group) with between 4 and 6 vets working out of the main Bromsgrove surgery per day. Vets are supported by a high ratio of registered veterinary nurses, and they are proud to be a training practice - helping the next generation of nurses fulfil their career potential. They have both medicine and surgical certificate holders as well as vets with interests in imaging and ophthalmology, so there is lots of in-house knowledge to tap into. They ethos is customer-focused, and try to make every 'touch point' the client has with the practice a favourable and pleasant one.

Facilities: Fantastic facilities in the spacious practice, with 7 consult rooms (to include cat only and PTS rooms) a large airy waiting room, theatres (including a separate dental theatre), and separate dog & cat kennels. They also have a vet’s office and a staff room with comfy sofas that you will get to sit on during your lunch break!

Hours: Will consider both full/part-time working patterns. This would include a 1:3 share in the Saturday rota.

Sole Charge: No

Branch Work: No

Applicant Requirements: The perfect candidate is a vet who enjoys building client relationships and wants to work up their cases, with the support of the team if needed. The nurses have requested a tidy vet - but they can be flexible on this!

Salary: They are offering a salary of up to £50,000 p/a DOE and a generous relocation allowance plus many company benefits including wellbeing support.

Benefits: Excellent Package that includes -

  • Enhanced holiday entitlement and increasing holiday based on length of service
  • CPD paid days and allowance
  • L&D opportunities through the IVC Evidensia Academy
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies, including maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental and surrogacy pay
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • BVA Membership paid
  • VDS cover
  • Birthday leave
  • Discounted veterinary fees
  • Various discounts including retail & gym memberships
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Service-related company sick pay
  • Sponsorship for overseas employees
  • Initiatives focused on employee wellbeing
  • Relocation packages
  • Career progression opportunities
