Permanent Veterinary Surgeon, Chelmsford

We are working with a lovely practice based between Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea in Essex that is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent full-time basis.

Our client practice offers friendly staff, a professional approach, and a comprehensive range of services and facilities that attract clients from Chelmsford, Colchester, London & Essex who are looking for a vet they can trust.

Their veterinary surgeons have a wealth of experience between them and are supported by a dedicated team of veterinary nurses, trainees, and ancillary staff. Their aim is to provide the best possible care for pets in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

They benefit from on-site access to some fantastic facilities, which means clients find pretty much everything needed to take care of their pet under one roof. This lovely practice is situated close to the Essex coast; the perfect location to relax in your time off. If you enjoy the thrill of a big city, London can be easily be reached by car or public transport.

The Candidate and Role:

This exciting position is for a friendly and exp[erienced Veterinary surgeon to join a lovely and supportive team. You will be joining a well-established practice that has a great reputation within the community. The ideal candidate would be happy in all aspects of veterinary care and keen to develop relationships with clients and the team, creating a healthy and enjoyable work environment.

This practice only works Monday-Friday so that you can have a great work-life balance.

This practice is part of a group with 7 other practices in the Essex and London area, with a really close relationship between them. There is also the possibility of working part of the week in this practice and part in another practice in the region.

The Remuneration Package:

An excellent package is available to the successful candidate including a salary of £40,000-£60,000 p/a (DOE) and benefits package that includes:

  • 6.6 weeks annual leave - including bank holidays plus option to buy or sell up to 2 weeks of holiday

  • A minimum of £1750 CPD allowance (further studies are funded and supported)
  • RCVS, one additional professional membership & VDS fees paid.
