Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Cheltenham

We have just received a new vacancy for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to work between their Cheltenham and Charlton Kings' small animal practices in Gloucestershire. These practices are a short ten-minute drive from each other, excellently equipped with two fantastic teams. Located in the picturesque town of Cheltenham, the clinics are well-equipped with digital X-rays, dental X-rays, Imotek ultrasound machines, multipara monitors, endoscopy, and much more!

The Role and Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be a confident working sole charge. A client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills are a must, alongside the ability to work to a high standard both medically and surgically. Our client offers excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate, with the advancement in skills and specialism actively encouraged. This role works a 4 day week plus 1:4 Saturdays, 08:00-13:00. No on-call or bank holiday requirements. As a qualified MRCVS, you'll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You'll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working in sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing the values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

The Package:

This role offers a package of up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience including £9000 accommodation allowance and company vehicle or £2500 allowance. A generous £1500 CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress with 3-days CPD leave and RCVS, VDS, and BVA membership. 5 weeks annual holiday allowance (FTE) plus bank holiday
