Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Chichester

Due to our clients' continued growing reputation, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced/recently graduated veterinary surgeon  to join their modern, vibrant, independent, and family-owned practice in Chichester, West Sussex. This is a permanent full-time role that would suit a driven and ambitious veterinary surgeon that will work alongside and complement an existing dynamic team.

Based within our clients' beautifully refurbished clinic nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park in sunny West Sussex, they are ‘more than a vets’ – a family that upholds the values of respect, humility, professionalism, and communication. The clinic is supported locally by our clients' hospital which they are proud to announce is currently the only independently owned hospital in the UK to have full RCVS accreditation as well as achieving outstanding status in all associated awards. In addition to this, they have 4 branches surrounding the hospital, all of which are accredited and designed to the highest standards with comprehensive facilities.

They have comprehensive facilities and equipment inclusive of ultrasound, dental radiography, digital radiography, dedicated theatre as well as separate cat and dog ward

The Role:

This is a permanent full-time role where you will be well supported and work with 9 vets across 2 sites i.e.1-2 days in their hospital [6 vets] and 2-3 days in their clinic [3 vets] a four-day working week with one day off (3 day week after working a weekend at the hospital). The weekend rota is 1 in 8 full weekends (days only) and 1 in 8 Saturdays at the hospital.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for a driven and ambitious veterinary surgeon to work alongside and complement their existing dynamic team of experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses as they continue to develop their multidisciplinary service.

You will be passionate about providing a high level of care for patients and a premium service for clients. In addition, you will be able to efficiently investigate cases to a high standard and have a medical mindset, as well as being surgically competent. Good communication and personal skills are essential and you will be encouraged to maintain continuity with clients and see cases through to a conclusion.  

The Package:

Salary: Competitive between between £35,000 - £60,000 subject to experience and relevant certification

  • CVS, VDS, and BSAVA membership
