Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Clacton-on-Sea

Location: Clacton-on-Sea, EssexAccommodation is available in nearby Clacton-On-Sea, a short stroll from the beach. This

is available long-term at half the market value (£600 per month). It is a beautiful two bedroom flat at the seaside with views of the sea. There is room for a spouse and a child if required. The accommodation is not shared and would be treated as your own home.

Facilities: They have a non-clinical Quiet Room which was specifically designed with euthanasia appointments in mind. Due to the design of the building, clients have the option to enter and leave without setting foot in the waiting room.

Team:

  • This is a team of amazing people who are as enthusiastic about the importance of independent practice. They support each other inside work and regularly socialise outside with lunches, BBQs, bingo nights, and an annual trip to the theatre.
  • They have a fantastic nursing team consisting of four RVNs, one SVN, and one experienced VCA. The three receptionists are famous for being the best front-of-house anyone can imagine, and the Practice Manager is the kindest woman alive. She says it is her job to look after everyone so they can look after the animals.

Role: An opportunity to join the independent practice that won BEST VET UK 2023 and BEST SMALL VET UK 2024. Sponsorship is a possibility for the right candidate.

Hours: Full-time - rota to be discussed in the interview

OOHS: The opportunity to be the very best vet you can be. No targets and no out-of-hours (we have the best of both worlds with VetsNow providing ooh cover whilst stable inpatients can remain at their centre overnight)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Veterinary Surgeon with MRCVS status
  • Enthusiasm to become part of our client’s successful team
  • Minimum one year’s experience in private practice performing consults and surgery
  • Minimum surgical experience is the ability to perform bitch spays solo but more experience is welcomed
