​Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Ealing, West London

Type: Small Animal

Location: Ealing, West London

Practice: An independent group of 4 small animal practices. They are training centres for nurses at both their main surgeries and can hospitalise pets overnight at both main surgeries. 

Facilities: They have digital X-rays, digital dental X-rays, laparoscopy, doppler ultrasounds, endoscopes, arthroscopes, Asif equipment, ventilator, etc., and routinely perform more complex surgeries such as TTA’s for cruciate repair.  

Role: They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their busy and friendly 9-vet team. The position may involve working at all of their surgeries although will be mainly based on the main surgeries. It may be possible to be based at one surgery only. 

Duties: The days are split between consulting and operating slots. They are a training centre for nurses and can hospitalise pets overnight at both their main surgeries. 

Hours: The role is full-time, working a 4.5-day week with 1:3 Saturdays and out-of-hours provided by an emergency clinic.

Weekends:1:3 Saturdays until 13:00

OOH: None - This is provided by an emergency clinic

Sole Charge: Yes sometimes at the branch

Skills/Exp: Our client is looking for a qualified Veterinary Surgeon that is registered with the RCVS. They are flexible with the amount of experience and are open to new graduates.

Salary: The salary is dependent on experience but starts at £35,000 p/a

  • Certificates supported. We have 3 vets currently completing surgery and medicine certificates. 

  • They have an excellent, friendly, and sociable team of vets who communicate regularly about cases both directly and through their internal social media. They have vet team meetings approximately every 3 months.
