Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Frome

Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their small animal team in Frome

Location: Their practice is situated in the beautiful countryside near Frome, (Named the Sunday Times, Best Place to Live in the South West) bordering Somerset, Wiltshire, and Dorset – a great location for a rural weekend escape and also close to Bristol Airport for breaks further afield

Practice: Small Animal/Equine

Team: They are a team of 4 Vets and 6 Nurses as well as a number of student nurses.

Facilities: They have been established in 2006 and have a very well-equipped practice with DR X-ray, a brand-new, high-quality ultrasound, IDEXX blood machines, Multiparameter unit, Tonometry, Laser, Orthopaedic kit, and much more. You will see a variety of routine, preventative, and more advanced cases during your working week. 

Role: They believe in using advanced treatment methods but with traditional values of great customer service, professionalism, and community spirit.

Duties: You will have a mix of consults and surgery and will be supported by their team of experienced Vets and Nurses. Certificate qualifications are encouraged, and funded. They care for all small animals, equine, wildlife, and exotics. 

Hours: This is a full-time role, working a four or five-day week between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm however part-time options can also be considered. They are flexible on rota and would be keen to discuss the ideal rota for you.  

Weekends: Saturday Morning will be required on a 1 in 4 rotas, giving you access to an emergency caseload too.  

Applicant Requirements: You will be an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon who, ideally, will have an interest in medicine and orthopaedics.

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE pro-rata plus benefits
