Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Halesowen

Type: Small Animal

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands

Practice Type: Independent small animal practice

Facilities: Although they cater to all small animals, they are renowned for being a bulldog savvy practice, our senior vet trained under Tom Bingham for many years and his knowledge and experience with bull breeds was certainly passed down the line. What most vets would refer out, they can do in the house due to their team’s experience; Entropion, BOAS, Cherry Eye, Cruciate Ligament Repair, and so on and so forth (some bulldogs have plenty of ailments to list) are all performed in house.

Team: You will be joining an amazing team of committed, talented, and enthusiastic staff

Role: Due to growth within their busy practices, our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

Duties: The role is a typical position, consultations, routine surgeries, diagnostics, etc. They have a mixed client base across the 2 branches; Oldbury is canine only, heavily surgery focused (Neutering, C-section, BOAS, Entropion, Ex-Laps etc), and Halesowen is more ‘general practice’, seeing dogs, cats, rodents, rabbits, and birds. Their staff enjoys the balance of the two. They also offer their own OOH care for which they have a dedicated night team.

Hours:

  • Full-time daytime position
  • No OOHS
  • A weekend rota of only 1 in 3

Branch work: Although they have two sites there is no branch work required

Consults: 15 minutes

Experience: They are looking for a vet with a minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience

Salary: Competitive salary of between £35,000-£60,000 p/a (DOE)
