Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

  • You’ll be joining a close-knit team who often meet up at the weekends for dog walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
  • They pride themselves on being active members of the community, and supporting local events such as The Honley agricultural show.
  • Based in a market town in West Yorkshire, Huddersfield is situated close to Manchester and Leeds, and provides excellent transport links and close proximity to the stunning Peak District National Park to the south and Yorkshire Dales to the North.
  • There are also close to local amenities including a nursery.

Hours:

  • This position can be fully flexible, working full or part-time hours.
  • Currently the opening hours are 8:30 am - 7 pm Monday to Friday with no weekends or bank holidays.
  • No on-call or OOH.

Candidate: You should be confident in routine surgical and medical cases and comfortable with sole charge. With guidance and development from both practice colleagues and our client’s highly experienced regional team, you can develop your skills in a direction of your choosing.

Duties:

  • Our client’s caseloads are everything you would expect from a busy general practice, giving you the perfect base from which to build your own clinical interests.
  • They aim to keep as much in-house as possible so welcome visiting specialists where needed but would love to bring these skills in-house and will support any desire to do so.

Salary: As standard, in addition to a salary up to £65,000 FTE which is reflective of skills and experience
