- The team has been in the practice for a long time, and all have progressed within their own veterinary careers whilst at the practice. Both the head nurse and senior RVN started as locums before becoming permanent, whilst the Practice Manager first joined them 9 years ago as a VCA.
Role: Our client’s Kidderminster practice is undergoing an exciting time of growth and is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to be part of this amazing opportunity.
Support: They are an approved training practice, and the Practice Owner/Veterinary Surgeon is a Vet GDP Advisor meaning they are open to considering new graduates to support you in kick starting your career!
Hours: Flexible to consider both full and part time applicants. No OOHs required, minimum of 1:4 Saturdays (9am-12pm)
About the role:
- They have an incredible client base with a varied and growing caseload including small furries, exotics and dentistry.
- They are a diverse team so depending on your own individual style, their consult times vary and breaks, and an hour lunch break is always included in the day. It’s important to them that the team feels included so they also hold a regular catch up after morning consultations, with time to share thoughts and ideas.
- There is no OOH with this role, and they make sure that appointments finish half an hour before closing so that they have time to catch up and still get away on time!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to a variety of small animal patients
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and diagnostic workups
- Perform routine and complex surgeries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering advice and follow-up care
- Work closely with the veterinary team to deliver excellent care and share knowledge
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Candidate Requirements:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Strong clinical skills (Ideally you will have a surgical bias, but they can consider all options)
- They are also open to considering new graduates for their ever-growing practice
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Passion for delivering outstanding care and client communication
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive approach to veterinary care
Salary: An attractive salary of up to £75,000 p/a (Dependant on experience/full time equivalent)
