Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Leigh, Greater Manchester

Practice: Part of a group - The practice enjoys close transport links to Manchester and Liverpool, and the nearby M6 provides easy access to the lakes and peak district, offering the best of both worlds. 

Facilities: This bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state-of-the-art equipment including Digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood machines, and tonometry. They run 20-minute consults as standard and have a separate cat consulting room. They are RCVS accredited, hold the ISFM silver cat-friendly award, and are working towards their RWAF accreditation. They are also keen to learn new things from you, if you have previously done CPD, they want to hear all about it!

Team: Their team currently consists of 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, and 2 Client Care Advisors, along with the Practice Manager who oversees the day-to-day running of the practice and supports the team. They are currently using Locum Vet cover but will also be recruiting for a Lead Vet.

Hours: They are currently looking for FT or PT Vet with a minimum of a couple of years of experience in a small animal practice to join our team. The rota includes 1 in 3 weekends, and we are flexible with the shifts.

OOHs: None

Duties: They are a growing well organised first opinion practice with a varied caseload. They have an experienced, supportive team who aim to provide the best care for their patients and the best client experience from phone calls to consultations.

Environment: They pride themselves on creating an environment that allows colleagues to have clinical freedom, develop their own areas of interest and maintain a supportive, no-blame culture. They welcome new ideas and are continuously updating practice protocols. Fully funded certificates and partnership opportunities are a real possibility for the right candidate.

Salary: Competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
