Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Newport

Our client looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to further expand their team of dedicated vets and help increase the services they offer to clients.

Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon

Type: Small Animal

Location: Langstone, Newport

Practice: Small Animal

Team: The practice is made up of 5 vets supported by 13 nurses, 2 VCA, and 9 receptionists/admin team.

They have two surgical certificate holders, who take referrals in orthopaedic and spinal cases, and our experienced team of nurses provides excellent support to our vets. 

Facilities: They are a friendly, first opinion and referral practice located just outside of central Newport in Langstone. They look after a varied and interesting caseload and have an excellent range of equipment to support this, including both rigid and flexible endoscopy, digital x-ray suite and dental radiography, ultrasonography, 4 consult rooms, separate dog cat and iso kennels, and 2 fully equipped theatres for first opinion and orthopaedic surgeries.

Hours: This is a full-time position, working 10-hour shifts across 4 days, with a 1:4 share of the Saturday morning rota. However, we are happy to consider part-time shifts for the right candidate. No on-call/out-of-hour requirement.

Applicant Requirements: They are looking for a caring person that can work well within the team in a sometimes fast-paced setting, who is able to show initiative, and who has a passion for a high level of patient and client care.

Salary: They are offering a salary of up to £50,000 p/a DOE
