Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - North Surrey

We are working with a lovely independent veterinary practice based in North Surrey very close to the border with South London that is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. Ideally, you will be joining them on a full-time basis, however, part-time would also be considered.

The Practice:

Our client has Digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, in-house lab, isolation ward, separate cat and dog waiting areas, consult rooms, prep rooms, theatres, and wards – try not to get lost! Work up cases to a high standard in a progressive, supportive and cheerful environment alongside specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Cardiology. Their team is responsible for saving the lives of thousands of animals every year. They are passionate individuals that love what they do and are dedicated to helping all creatures great and small.

The Role and Candidate:

  • If you are a progressive first opinion vet who is looking to challenge yourself and pursue further qualifications in a supportive environment with superb facilities, this is the job for you.
  • Applicants who already hold certificates and who would like an opportunity to put their advanced knowledge and skills to work are also encouraged to apply.
  • They are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated vet who works well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential. Ideally, the candidate would have sufficient experience to be confident when consulting or performing basic soft-tissue surgery.
  • Work-life balance is important to them, so full-time vets and nurses work a 4-day week and share one weekend in four rotas. No OOH. 20-minute consults as routine.

  • Why standstill? CPD/specialisation is encouraged and funded
  • The remuneration commensurate with experience - Up to £60,000 p/a (DOE)
