Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Northwich
We are currently working with an RCVS accredited small animal practice in Northwich, Cheshire, that due to the practice expanding are looking for full-time Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
Our client is an independent small animal practice across two sites. Their flagship Hospital is an independent RCVS accredited small animal hospital, nurse training practice, and gold cat-friendly clinic which strives to provide the highest standards of first opinion care for patients and clients. They are proud to provide their own 24hr emergency service.
They have ten vets with Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC, and Medicine and are fully supported by an experienced and dedicated front-of-house team. They also have visiting Specialist vets in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, and Diagnostic imaging. This allows them to provide a fantastic standard of care to all patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases.
Their fantastic nursing team of 9 RVNs and 3 SVNs is led by a DipAVN and includes ECC certificate holders. They are integral to the practice and are valued as such with CPD and further study is supported and encouraged.
They have a very friendly and inclusive team right across the practice with vets, nurses, and reception staff all supporting each other - they are looking for the right candidates to maintain and enhance this.
The Role and Candidate:
They are looking for two Veterinary Surgeons to join their growing team - Ideally with a minimum of two years' experience, although they may consider less for the right candidate. The right candidate will truly care for patients, be a good team player, be enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated to provide high-quality first opinion service to patients and clients.
They provide consistent support and the opportunity to improve and grow as a vet, with post-graduate qualifications being encouraged.
You will be working a 4 day week plus a half-day off either side of a night or weekend on-call. The rota is currently 1:8 with time back in lieu for weekends worked.
