We are working with a client with a well-established veterinary practice that is looking to recruit a permanent Veterinary Surgeon on a part-time basis. Our client is based in the Leicester area and they are looking for an experienced Vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.

The Practice:

This practice has a very long-standing and friendly client base who appreciate the personal service provided. The practice has a fully supportive team that shares the enthusiasm for clients and patients. They work closely with the local practices within the group.

They are based in a small town about 5 miles from Hinckley and 10 miles from Leicester. Activities and points of interest in the area include the tropical Birdland, scuba diving at Stoney Cove, outdoor pursuits at Stanton lakes and fosse meadows, and the King Richard III visitor centre.

The Role and Candidate:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly and loyal team on a permanent basis. You will be working 3 days per week with some weekends which is likely to be 1 in 3, the total amount of hours will be around 30 hours per week.

You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of small animal practice experience. This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a sole charge environment with the ability to make sound clinical judgments. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes (Full-Time Equivalent):

  • Salary up to £55,000 p/a dependent on experience
