Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Scottish Borders

This is a long-established and successful mixed practice located on the beautiful and unspoiled Scottish borders. They pride themselves on their enthusiasm and forward-thinking, as they ensure they are always looking for new ways to modernise. The practice is RCVS PSS Core standard and has won an ISFM Gold award.
Facilities: They are well equipped with BCF scanners, small and equine ultrasound, digital x-ray small and equine, endoscopy, and dental x-ray.
Role: This is a great opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a professional and experienced team
Duties: The successful candidate will work closely with the established friendly vet, nursing, and client care teams to provide excellent patient and client care. Experience in mixed practice is essential as the practice looks after Companion Animal, Farm, and Equine patients. There is scope in the role for a bias in one discipline but experience in each to enable OOH participation is required. An RVN is available as backup for all OOH work. Excellent communication skills are required for this role along with a desire to engage in ongoing clinical development of the practice.
Hours:
- Full-time, 4.5-day week
- 1:5 OOH Rota (one weeknight and 1 weekend in 5; no routine weekend clinic)
Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a depending on experience
