Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Stafford

Type: Small Animal

Location: Stafford - within 30 min commute

Practice: Part of a group - They have two small animal practices, which have serviced the veterinary needs of companion animals in Stafford and the surrounding area for over three decades.

Facilities: Their premises are light, and spacious, and have recently been renovated, one site has two theatres, which are linked by glass, and they have all the necessary equipment such as digital X-ray, in-house blood machines, ultrasound, and dental radiography.

Team: The team comprises of 6 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, a dedicated nurse, and front of house team. One of their Vets is currently working towards a certificate in dermatology. They are associated with Shires Vets, which enables them to offer a wide range of facilities and services across their group. Although there is no need to work at the second site, they hold regular vet meetings between both sites, share CPD events, and support specific caseloads between the two groups.

Duties: Your day-to-day role would consist of 1 day of surgery, 1 day of consultations, and 2 days of a mixture of both. They are open to tailoring the frequency of surgery with your role to match your preference if you have a surgical or consultation bias.

Candidate: The ideal candidate for this role would be a surgeon who feels comfortable with all primary care duties, but they may be able to support a surgeon with more advanced procedures if they are comfortable with all routine primary care duties. They actively encourage investing in their associates and professional development.

Salary: Competitive salary of up to £65,000 p/a (negotiable D.O.E.)
