We are working with an established small animal veterinary practice in Derbyshire that is based close to Stockport that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. Some work will be required at a sister branch and this role would suit someone with a surgical bias.

The Practice:

Our clients' mission to deliver progressive, around-the-clock care so this means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, 8 miles from Stockport and 13 miles from Manchester. You will be working alongside another vet and two RVN's to fully support you alongside a team of Regional and Area Managers.

The Role and Candidate

This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and loyal team that includes 1 other vet and a support team that is dedicated to their clients and patients. Some work will be required at a sister branch and this role would suit someone with a surgical bias.

This practice works on a 4 day per week rota which gives you the balance to enjoy your home and personal life. Bank holidays are also on a rota basis across the region with time back in lieu for any time worked and only 1 in 3 Saturdays is required too.

What you'll bring to the team?

You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years' small animal practice experience. This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently with the ability to make sound clinical judgments.

Career progression is actively promoted and partnership opportunities are available for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.
