We are working with a small animal pet hospital in the Margate area of Kent that is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them in a Team Leader position on a permanent basis. Our client is flexible on the total amount of hours of this role and is open to full and part-time applicants.

The Practice:

Our client strives to improve pets’ lives, through prevention, education, and treatment. Every year their dedicated vet teams carry out 2.7 million treatments on 470,000 pets. They have a national network of around 120 high street shops that help them to provide these treatments by selling both donated and new goods. 

At this group, they believe in working better together, so everyone (vets, volunteers, shop teams, and office support colleagues) are driven in their dedication and passion for pets.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader to support the Senior Veterinary Surgeon (SVS), through the leadership of the Veterinary Surgeon team, to deliver efficient, professional, and caring Pet services to the local community. You will be responsible for all aspects of team management including recruitment, selection, and development, delivery of projects, and delegation of tasks as determined by the SVS. Your time will be split between management/ admin tasks and time on the clinical rota.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in customer service and teamwork, combined with extensive clinical knowledge in small animal practice.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, they are offering a great package (based on 40 hours per week) that is worth between £48,213 - £49,565 (including allowances), this includes:
