Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - The Wirral

Our client is looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join their friendly team working in a very busy first opinion practice catering for small animal cases based on the Wirral. 

The Practice:

The practice is the largest small animal practice on the Wirral It has a lovely, energetic team consisting of 5 veterinary surgeons including 1 certificate holder, 4 RVNs and 2 VCA plus support team. With good facilities and services that include dental work, cruciate surgery, digital radiography, pet passport services etc. They actively encourage further studies such as certificates and have the caseload to support this.

The Role:

They are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with experience to integrate within their friendly team. The role they have on offer can be full (4.5 days) or part-time (3 days) plus 1:5 weekends, negotiable for the right candidate. They actively encourage further studies such as certificates and have the case load to support this. On the clinical side of things, you'll be tasked with all aspects of first opinion consults and routine surgeries with a varied and interesting case load, with limited sole charge. They encourage in-house case work up with the support from visiting specialists when required, however, are also happy to refer cases when appropriate

The Candidate:

They’re looking for someone with well-developed communication skills who is capable of case management, and confident in their diagnostic and surgical abilities.

The Package:

• The salary range is £40,000 - £50,000 (FTE) depending on experience.
