Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Torquay

We are working with an independent small animal practice in the Torquay area of Devon that is looking for two confident Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a full-time permanent basis. Our client would like an experienced vet although someone with maybe just a year but basic surgical skills would be fine. They would also like to hear from any 2020 grads with drive and enthusiasm who might like to move to the South West.

The Practice:

Our client is a small group of independent small animal and exotic practices based in Devon. They care for a wide range of companion animals and pets from cats, dogs, and rabbits to smaller pets like degus and geckos. Exotic animals are a specialty of theirs so whether it's a cockatoo with a cold or snake that’s off its food then this vet can help them.

This practice has been established since the 1970s and has seen many changes over that time. In October 2005 they modernised all 3 surgeries to provide the highest quality of service to all of the animals in their care.

Their aim is to provide a friendly, approachable service to all visitors. Their waiting areas have been updated and are light and airy which will hopefully make visits to the vets more pleasant.

They have the facilities expected of an RCVS accredited, VN training centre and are always striving to improve standards and clinical diversity. Recent projects include piped anaesthetic gases, new theatre lighting, a new practice management system and a new cat ward, sterilising room, and imaging suite. Full nursing and receptionist support to a high standard. All their surgeries have a range of Hills Prescription diets and Royal Canin diets.

The Role and Candidate:

They are looking for a confident small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. Ideally, they would like an experienced vet although someone with maybe just a year but basic surgical skills would be fine. Also if you are a 2020 grad that has drive and enthusiasm they would be interested in hearing from you too.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced vet to join our client's team, help grow the client base and continue to provide a quality service to loyal customers.

Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary that is negotiable and dependant on experience, with benefits that include, CPD funded and encouraged, RCVS & VDS paid. Applicants must be RCVS registered.
