Facilities: Based in a well-established and thriving practice for nearly 10 years, they have a large and loyal client following which provides a large breadth of case material across a range of small animal species. They’re a modern, purpose-built, and fully equipped practice with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, laparoscopy, ultrasound, a full in-house lab, separate dog, cats, and exotics kennel wards, and a fully equipped operating theatre.
Team: You will be joining an existing team of 3 veterinary surgeons, 8 qualified veterinary nurses, 1 trainee veterinary nurse, 1 veterinary nursing assistant, and 4 receptionists all supported by the clinical and admin Team Leaders.
Role: They are growing all the time and seeing a variety of interesting surgical and medical cases, because of this they are now looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team.
Hours: The position will be part-time hours or even weekends only and with no OOH, they hope you’ll enjoy a rota that suits your lifestyle. As a practice they understand that work-life balance is important to you, so they offer this role with a flexible rota if desired, as well as 15-minute consults as standard with “catch up” time built into the diary. You will have a protected lunch break and dedicated admin time for your telephone calls etc.
Duties: The practice runs on 3 vets per day, offering lots of support with 2 vets consulting and 1 vet dedicated to surgery
Support: The practice owner, has a wealth of knowledge in medicine with over 21 years qualified experience and is supported in practice by the Head Vet (also full-time) who has 24 years of experience. This offers you an amazing and somewhat unique supportive environment to learn a multitude of new skills and knowledge. They are also very passionate about the development of their team and highly encourage all their colleagues to undertake training, so you will be given a generous CPD allowance and the opportunity to have certificates funded!

Salary: They are offering an offering competitive salary of up to £65,000 p/a FTE - reflective of skills and experience
