Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - West Yorkshire
We are currently working with a leading independent practice based in West Yorkshire that takes pride in the exceptional level of care, compassion, and service provided to their clients and their pets. They are looking for a keen small animal veterinary surgeon to join them on a permanent basis in their growing practice.
The Practice:
Our client is a friendly independent multi-site veterinary group, owned and run by practicing local veterinary surgeons and centred around their hospital based on the Leeds/Bradford border. They also offer a number of local first opinion surgeries that work hard to serve their local communities. These surgeries offer all of the day-to-day facilities and services that you would expect from a local veterinarian. They are also staffed by some of the best surgeons, nurses, and support staff in the region. Their current team consists of 23 vets which include certificate holders, plus a strong nursing and support team. The practice has a strong belief in the continuity of training and development of its staff and is also a nurses’ training centre. Services and facilities at these first opinion surgeries include; health examinations, vaccinations, neutering, routine surgery, dental surgery, and more e.g. internal medicine, surgical, orthopaedic, and ophthalmology consultations, in house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, MRI & CT scanner, orthopaedic and spinal surgery, acupuncture, isolation kennels, separate dog and cat areas, 24/7 hospital care & services.
The Role:
This is a permanent full-time small animal veterinary surgeon post where you will be working Mon- Fri 2 x days 8.30 - 17.00 & 3 x days 8.30 - 18.00, 1:5 Sat 8.30 - 12 noon & 1: 5 Sat 8.30 -17.00 & Sun 9.00 - 15.00, No OOHs, some sole charge possible, 15 minute consults, computer system Merlin, branch work yes shared between one of the branch sites and the hospital.
The Candidate:
The position will particularly suit someone who wishes to progress their career, further develop their skills and achieve a good work-life balance. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a general practitioner and will have a customer focus outlook, with good communication skills, and want to build relationships with clients and their pets and to promote continuity of care locally and follow up your own cases in depth.

Salary: Competitive between £35,000- £65,000 dependent on skills and experience
Benefits: CPD (£1000 -3 days) + RCVS + VDS, 28 days holiday [incl. BHs}
