We are currently working with a splendid well-established independent veterinary practice that is based in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. They are looking for two small animal Veterinary Surgeons to join two of their branches and to complement their existing 20 strong vet team. 

The Practice:

This is a busy practice that has been serving areas of Suffolk for almost 50 years. The practice provides care for small animal and equine clients. They have a team of 20 highly experienced vets, 17 RVNs, 6 SVNs, 6 ANAs, and support across both sectors all of whom are dedicated to providing a professional, caring, quality service to their clients and their animals. Their diagnostic and treatment facilities include a laboratory, dental facilities, X-Ray, ultrasound, ECG, and operating theatre. In an emergency, this practice is proud to provide its own 24-hour service. They are happy to offer advice and treatment for all procedures including routine vaccinations and health checks, consultations for any medical problems, neutering, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, advice on worming and flea prevention, nutritional advice, and weight management, microchipping, pet travel scheme, behavioural advice, BVA hip & elbow scoring, weight management programs, dental checks, post-operative care, youth clinics for puppies and kittens, puppy parties.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent post for two experienced small animal vets one of which would preferably have a keen surgical interest, either with a certificate or looking towards a certificate. The other to be a good first opinion GP small animal veterinary surgeon, competent with consults, and routine surgery. The working week is Monday- Friday 9.00 -18.00 - 4.5 days per week, weekend 1:3 Saturday 9.00 - 13.00, some sole charge, branch work, 10 minute consults, AT computer system, No OOHs. 

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 or 3 years of experience, confident, caring with excellent communication skills. With the ability to relate well to people at all levels and the ability to work in a sole charge role when required. Licence and vehicle will be required when you are working between the practices.
