We are working with a client based near Kettering, Northamptonshire that is looking to recruit a Senior Veterinary Surgeon. Our client is an independent small animal practice that is looking full time experienced veterinary surgeon.
They have an experienced and caring team of vets and nurses. They insist on continuing professional development, membership of multiple veterinary organisations and journals, and hold regular practice meetings to ensure everyone keeps up to date with the latest thinking. They have a modern well-equipped practice with state of the art diagnostic tools include x-rays, ultrasound and blood pressure monitoring. Their in house lab offers same day results on a wide range of blood tests as well as allowing us to carry out urine analysis and microscopy.
Our client is looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon that will be responsible for clinical case management and supervision of junior vets. You will maintain and grow the business as part of your role.
This is a full-time role working 4.5 days a week. however, the practice is looking into potentially going down to 4 days a week.
The weekend rota is 1 in 6 which includes consulting Saturday 08.30-15.00 and Sunday 10.00-12.00, with an on call requirement from Friday pm to Monday am. During the week there is one night on call required.
You will be joining a team of 5 vets, 8 nurses and 5 reception staff based across two practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a practice environment and the role will involve routine consults and surgery. The practice is looking for a friendly proactive hard working team player who can come into the practice and hit the ground running.
