We are currently working with an independent mixed animal veterinary practice based in Derbyshire, who are looking to recruit a TB tester to join their dedicated team.

The Client:
Our client is a mixed veterinary practice providing care, advice, and treatment for all animals great and small in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. They have entered into a voluntary scheme with the governing body the RCVS which gives clients confidence that the practice and the services it offers have been ‘vetted’ and have passed. Out of hours patients will always be seen by the team.

The Role:
This is a permanent role and you will be required to TB test for 4 days (excluding Wednesdays) every week. This is not a clinical position so you would not be expected to carry out other veterinary duties such as the night-time emergency rota. You may be asked to administer vaccines or other injections occasionally or take blood samples for the government or private investigations.

The Candidate:
As a TB tester, you will need to be a qualified vet, a legal requirement if TB testing in private practice in the UK. To qualify you would need to update your UK Official Controls Qualifications in both Essential Skills and TB testing. You can access the training online at Imrpove-OV.com.

Good communication skills are essential for this role.

The salary on offer for this role will be Market Rate.

Role: Permanent TB Tester
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday (with Wednesday off) 09:30 - 17:30.
Weekends: None
OOH: None
Salary: Market Rate
Skills: Must be qualified and up to date with UK Official Controls Qualifications in both Essential Skills and TB testing

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
