We are currently recruiting on behalf on a large, independent veterinary group who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as a Prep/Imaging Nurse.

Our client is a large Midlands based veterinary group, who provide an exceptional veterinary service to pets, horses and farm animals.  They pride themselves on being able to provide great customer service and a dedicated and quality care to animals.  They are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a Permanent basis as a Prep Nurse.

The Practice:
Our client has separate equine, farm and small animal veterinary teams who work across the Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and West Midlands areas through their hospital and branches throughout the region.  Many of their dedicated vets and nurses have further post graduate qualifications in their area of interest.  Their small animal hospital based in Derby is a purpose built hospital with state of the art facilities.  Their amenities include spacious and comfortable wards, isolation wards and an intensive care unit.  As well as 5 operating theatres, imaging suite including ultrasound, CT scanner, MRI scanner, and radiography.  They are also able to offer a range of specialists and specialist equipment for ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry, cardiology, and surgery with full rehabilitation and hydrotherapy facilities.

The Role:
This is a dedicated and stimulating nurse role based in the hub of the hospital working closely with the first opinion and referral teams.  This is a key and pivotal position and the ideal candidate will not only be a highly competent nurse but will have strong communication skills to be able to communicate between clinicians, nurses, and clients.  This position is a 41 hour week, with hours on a rota basis between 08:00-19:00.  There is also a weekend rota which consists of a 1:6 which is a Saturday and Sunday based in practice.  This position will require you to work closely with a number of areas within the hospital such as anaesthetist, prep vet, referral teams, theatre team, and wards team.

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
