We are currently working with a small animal veterinary group that has been established for 10 years in the South Wales area and that is looking to recruit a permanent veterinary nurse to join their expanding team.
Client:
Our client has 7 branches within the South Wales area and provides affordable veterinary care to their clients to enable them to treat their animals when required. They currently employ 15 vets, 3 RVNS plus auxiliary nursing and support staff. They are RCVS accredited and believe in investing in their people to provide a high standard of animal welfare while enabling their staff to further their CPD and education. This group offers all the same services and facilities you would expect to find in any other practice and in some cases, more including in-house laboratories, digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, digital capnography, dentistry, specialist kennels and home visits. The nursing team are also involved with weight and nurse clinics to perform free dental and post-operative checks plus a whole range of other services.
Role:
This is a permanent full time post working 40 hours per week over 4 days on a two tier shift pattern e.g. 8.30am-7pm or 10.30am-9pm - 1:4 Saturdays which includes some sole charge 9am-5pm. NO OOHs and NO on call.
Duties involved will include: some reception work, monitoring anaesthetics, overseeing other auxillary nurses, assisting with ops, inpatient care and other general nursing duties.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will be proactive, outgoing, empathetic, a good team player with excellent customer and veterinary care skills. The post would suit either a newly qualified or more experienced nurse or someone who would like the opportunity to become a clinical coach.

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
