We are currently recruiting on behalf of a fun and friendly team based in Derbyshire who is looking for a Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Practice:
This is a well-equipped practice with a friendly team of 5 vets and 9 nurses. The practice offers excellent quality care with modern facilities in a welcoming atmosphere.  The practice is an RCVS accredited Tier 2 training practice and have been offering 24/7 care in the Derbyshire area since 2002.  They are a traditional mixed practice and care for all domestic species such as dogs and cats but also see horses and a large variety of farm animals.  They can also boast modern facilities such as digital x-ray, well-equipped theatres for more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and much more.

The Role:
This is a full-time position working a 5-week rolling rota, with hours between 8 am - 6:30 pm and 1 night per week on-call and 1 in 8 weekends.
The shift pattern consists of full weeks of 8am-4:30, 8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:3pm or 10am-6:30pm. However, the team are very flexible and usually swap occasional shifts when required.

Weekends consist of 9am-12pm consults then holding the phone for emergencies if required. You are not required to stay on site and they do have an OOHs answer service to take the initial inquiry prior to passing to the vet.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience post-graduation, however enthusiastic newly qualified nurse can be considered as there is lots of support available on site from experienced team members.
Candidates must enjoy working in a friendly, family type environment and enjoy lots of tea/coffee and cake!

To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
