A friendly independent mixed practice situated in East Riding of Yorkshire are looking for a veterinary nurse to join their team on a permanent or long term locum basis as soon as possible.
Client:
Our client is a well-equipped independent RCVS accredited mixed animal veterinary practice which has been established for 19 years. Since they opened they have evolved into a 9 vets, 4 qualified nurses, 3 student nurses and 1 ANA team with two practices in the local area. Facilities include surgical facilities, x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, dental facilities, in-house laboratory, hospitalisation facilities - separate kennels and cattery. Large private car park, home visits and in practice shop.
Role:
The practice is looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is full time, working a 35 hour week with 1 in 5 OOH weekends and nights on call (covered from home) with no phone duties. Generous time off is given following on call.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills, with the desire to assist the practice in providing first class animal and client care. As a training practice, clinical coach experience would be an advantage, as would the enthusiasm to be active in nurse clinics and lead by example.
In this practice, their nurses are used to their full potential so the role offered is varied and will include inpatient care, surgical nursing and nurse consultations.
Although the practice is looking for a permanent nurse they will consider long term locum applicant and can provide accommodation. Applicants who would like a more senior position are also considered. CPD and training is encouraged alongside a competitive salary.
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
